We are looking for an NDE Engineer for one of our clients with the following details:
Location: Leatherhead, England
Start Date: 1 March 2026
Contract Duration: 24 months with possibility of 12 months extension
Qualification and Experience Required:
- Professional Experience (years): Minimum 15 years in Oil and Gas projects.
Experience in similar position (years) :
- 10 years of experience, with significant experience as NDE Specialist for Oil & Gas Project
- Previous experience with international Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) Contractors on projects of similar scale,
Technical Skills :
- Knowledge of design and construction code for structural (such as AWS D1.1), piping (such as ASME B31.3) and pressure vessels (such as ASME BPVC),
- ISO 9712 (or recognized equivalent) Level III UT and minimum Level II RT,
- ISO 9712 (or recognized equivalent) Level III MT and minimum Level II RT,
- ISO 9712 (or equivalent) minimum Level II PT, Level II VT, Radiographic Interpretation, Senior Inspector Certification (type CSWIP 3.2 for instance)
Level / Diploma :
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (material, mechanical engineering or related field),
Languages
- Fluency in English,

Main Missions:
- To adopt and demonstrate exemplary behavior regarding H3SE rules and requirements and ensure their implementation within his/her scope of responsibility,
- The service holder is in charge within the Central Processing Facility (CPF2) Package, under the CPF2 Engineering Manager, of all activities associated with Non-Destructive Examination (NDE),
- The service holder ensures during Detailed Engineering, Procurement and Construction phases that all activities, deliverables and documents (internal and external) related to the disciplines he/she is in charge are timely issued, executed and fit for purpose,
- The service holder ensures Contractor, Subcontractors and Suppliers' deliverables and documents are compliant with applicable codes, standards, Project specifications and best engineering practices related to his/her discipline,
- Within CPF2 Package, the service holder is the Contractor's focal point for all matters related to the disciplines and subjects he/she oversees,
- The service holder participates in the follow-up and supervision of welding qualifications, audits, testing (such as NDE crosschecking, testing/evaluation of NDE operators and equipment's, destructive tests in laboratory etc.), fabrication and construction activities, at Contractor, Subcontractors and Suppliers workshops or worksites, related to his/her discipline, directly and/or with the support of the surveillance and site QC team,
- The service holder will participate in the review and resolution of any discipline-related Technical Query, Deviation Requests and NCR occurring during Detail Engineering and Execution phases,
- The service holder will actively identify the main risks and opportunities related to the disciplines he/she oversees and contribute to their follow-up in line with Project objectives,
- The service holder actively liaises with other specialists of the CPF2 Package to ensure consistency of the works, with the CPF2 Welding Engineer,
- The service holder also liaises with Company HQ discipline specialists as necessary.
Key Activities
- To adhere to Project H3SE and ensure that HSSEQ issues and requirements are correctly handled and met in all the disciplines-related technical documents and construction activities,
- To ensure that safe working practices are used within the Package along all phases of the Project,
- To be informed of disciplines-related Project Specifications and international norms and standards, taking knowledge from them to application to the Project,
- To issue and maintain all the necessary technical documentation related to the disciplines,
- To ensure that contractual scope of work is duly and timely performed by Contractor,
- To ensure daily liaison with Contractor with regards to discipline-related matters and participate in weekly/monthly coordination meetings with Contractor as appropriate,
- To ensure follow-up / review / validation of progress performed by Contractor regarding his/her disciplines and analyses/reports drifts that could occur and propose remedial solutions,
- To supervise and control the Detailed Engineering by timely reviewing the discipline-related documentation issued by Contractor / Subcontractors and Suppliers (NDT procedures, technical documentation, queries, deviation requests etc.),
- To ensure full compliance with Project Specifications, Procedures, international norms and standards with the objective,
- To ensure respect of the schedule and to optimize costs without impacting required level of Quality and Safety,
- To raise consequently necessary comments and highlight unsafe design, deviations, unacceptable / unjustified design choices, constructability/inspectability issues etc.,
- To ensure adequate and timely reporting to the CPF2 Engineering Manager on progress and concerns, and in a general manner, anticipates problems, proposes potential optimizations, improvements and solutions with regards to his/her disciplines,
- To liaise and interface actively with other CPF2 discipline specialists regarding discipline-related matters and on all engineering, procurement, constructability, and operability and maintainability matters, to ensure consistency of the work,
- To suggest, organize, sometime lead and participate in all necessary inspections, including NDE crosschecking, and give advice on the matter with regards to disciplines related matters,
- To attend, when required, to KOM, PIM and any ad-hoc meeting with Contractor, Subcontractors and Suppliers,
- In coordination with the CPF2 Welding Engineer, to assess and follow-up Contractors' welding performance and propose improvement or remedial plan,
- To ensure confidentiality of all the discipline-related documentation produced whatever its support,
- To gather and ensure lesson-learnt ("REX") are considered and participate to the issuance of feed-back for his/her disciplines.
To assist Company Representatives in the supervision of all NDE related activities at fabrication sites, in particular:
- Witness the Non-Destructive Examinations (qualification, production etc.) and destructive tests when needed,
- Assessment and evaluation of NDE technicians, environment and facilities including equipment and specific HSE requirements associated with the activity (radioprotection, chemical waste etc.),
