Job DescriptionJob Description Lead the build-and-test journey for critical Navy products
Imagine walking the production floor at the start of shift: you’re aligning priorities, clearing roadblocks, and ensuring your Navy Technician team has everything needed to assemble and test complex hardware flawlessly and on time. As the Technician Supervisor, you own the quality, safety, and throughput of Navy program assemblies through the full Assembly & Test phase—coaching people, improving process, and collaborating across the organization to meet mission-critical customer needs.
What you'll do
- Lead, engage, and develop a team of Navy Technicians—fostering job satisfaction, encouraging growth, and building capabilities.
- Ensure the area runs safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company goals and the broader business purpose.
- Partner with engineering, quality, supply chain, and program teams to keep data, priorities, and decisions flowing to meet customer commitments.
- Champion product quality and employee safety at every step of the assembly and test processes.
- Troubleshoot assembly/test issues and implement procedures and training that boost throughput and consistency.
Supervisory responsibilities
You will directly supervise employees working Navy programs within the Technician Department and uphold organizational policies, values, and laws. Responsibilities include:
- Interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training technicians.
- Planning, assigning, and directing daily work.
- Developing employees’ skills, encouraging career growth, setting expectations, and appraising performance.
- Rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Building positive relationships through fair, consistent, and respectful treatment.
- Continually improving your own supervisory skills.
Qualifications
To qualify, you bring the right mix of knowledge, training, experience, and capability.
Education and Training
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline; or six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a complex assembly environment.
- Minimum of two years management experience.
- Minimum of three years’ experience with recognized quality systems (ISO, AS, QS, TS).
Other
- Must be willing to work overtime as required.
- Travel up to 10% of working time.
Desired Qualification
- Secret security clearance.

Compensation and benefits
The hourly range for this role is $37/hr. - $50hr. This range represent the anticipated minimum and maximum base + bonus for this position based upon a good faith and reasonable estimate. The final compensation for this position will be set based on the applicant’s qualifications (education, training and/or experience related to this role), and therefore, may fall outside the range shown, depending on the circumstances.
