GENERAL SUMMARY
Rely on expertise, knowledge, and technical qualifications to interpret written industry and customer standards, specifications, regulations, and site restrictions. Recommend or initiate direct actions required to meet and comply with all requirements. Identify issues related to the progress and quality of work performed by others and make decisions and recommendations required to satisfactorily address situations that involve staff of customers, contractors, and company employees both on and off the right-of-way.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Verify that the following work is performed in accordance with the client’s contract specifications and drawings, including observation of thickness testing.
- Assured all work is performed in a safe and professional manner.
- Works closely with the Repair/Cut-Out Welding Inspector, NDT Inspector, and contractor’s representative to assure that no repairs or cutouts are coated and lowered in.
- Verify all coating is done according to adhering to all specifications and safety standards.
- Record and report material usage and waste.
- Adhere to and enforce safety policies.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Knowledge of company policies and procedures relating to assigned tasks.
- Knowledge of vender specifications for coating.
- Working knowledge of Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) specifications
- NACE CIP LVL I or higher
- Professional oral and written communication skills.
