We are looking for a skilled and motivated Municipal Infrastructure Engineer to support the planning, design, and implementation of water and utility infrastructure projects. This position focuses on delivering high-quality engineering solutions for municipal clients, with an emphasis on wastewater collection, stormwater management, and public utility systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop municipal infrastructure projects related to water, wastewater, stormwater, and utility systems
- Prepare construction drawings, technical specifications, cost estimates, and permitting documents
- Conduct field investigations and condition assessments to support system evaluations and project development
- Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance and alignment with project goals
- Contribute to hydraulic modeling, infrastructure rehabilitation plans, and utility coordination efforts
- Support public meetings, grant applications, and funding strategies as needed
- Assist with project management tasks including budget tracking, scheduling, and reporting
- Mentor junior engineering staff and support professional development
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- At least 3+ years of experience in municipal water and utility infrastructure projects
- EIT or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and familiarity with hydraulic modeling software
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal design standards and permitting requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
