Join a leading engineering team where your skills are valued and your development is supported.\nOur Client are hiring a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work across a large, well-structured site in York. With a team of engineers on-site and access to progression and training opportunities, this is an ideal role for engineers with a strong background in heavy industry, FMCG, or food production.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nCarry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and equipment\n\nRespond promptly to machinery breakdowns, completing effective fault finding and repairs\n\nWork on both mechanical and electrical systems (mechanical or electrical bias considered)\n\nSupport continuous improvement and reliability initiatives\n\nEnsure all work is carried out in line with health & safety and food hygiene standards\n\nProvide on-call cover as required\n\nExperience, Skills & Qualifications\n\nTime-served apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualification\n (NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or equivalent)\n\nProven experience in a maintenance engineering role within manufacturing\n\nStrong mechanical and/or electrical maintenance knowledge\n\nAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics\n\nExperience with PLCs, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and automated systems is advantageous\n\nFlexible, proactive, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment\n\nBackground\n\nFood or FMCG manufacturing experience is essential\n\nWhat's on Offer\n\nCompetitive salary and benefits package\n\nSecure role within a well-established manufacturing business\n\nOpportunities for training, development, and progression
