Rotating Shifts: 5:00am – 2:00pm | 1:00pm – 10:00pm | 9:00pm – 6:00am

The OpportunityWe are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and growing food manufacturing business based in Tipton.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to work within a fast-paced production environment, playing a key role in maintaining and improving manufacturing and packaging equipment to ensure maximum efficiency and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities
Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities

Respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns

Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults

Maintain and repair pumps, conveyors, fillers, cookers, and packaging machinery

Undertake PLC fault finding (programming experience not required)

Support continuous improvement projects and equipment upgrades

Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, HACCP, and GMP standards

Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to maximise plant performance

What We're Looking ForEssential Requirements
NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent Engineering qualification

Previous experience within a food manufacturing environment

Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding capabilities

Experience working on high-speed production or packaging lines

Ability to work a rotating shift pattern

Desirable Skills & Experience
PLC fault-finding experience (Siemens or Allen Bradley)

18th Edition qualification

Experience using CMMS systems

Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies
