About the Role
\n
Join a specialist healthcare service supporting the NHS by ensuring the safe sterilisation of surgical instruments. This is a site-based Maintenance Engineer role, working on plant machinery, sterilisers, and automated systems.
\n
Key Duties
\n
- \n
- Maintain & repair autoclaves, sterilisers, washers & plant equipment
- Fault finding on mechanical & electrical systems
- Work with steam plants, boilers, conveyors & automation
- Carry out PPM, validation support, and compliance checks
- Support contractors & manage spare parts
- Participate in continuous improvement & on-call rota (1 in 4)

Requirements
\n
- \n
- Engineering apprenticeship / HNC / HND / City & Guilds
- 2+ years in manufacturing, FMCG, or plant environments
- Strong mechanical + electrical skills (ideally 50/50)
- Experience with automation, hydraulics & pneumatics
- PLC knowledge desirable
- Full UK driving licence

Package & Hours

- Mon–Fri, 40 hours (flexible start 7:00–8:30)
- £30 standby + overtime (1.5x)
- 1 in 4 on-call
- Full training provided
