Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Permanent Opportunity - Norfolk



We are seeking a motivated Shift Engineer to join our dynamic team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of processing and packing machinery, minimising downtime, and supporting a safe, efficient workplace.

Key Responsibilities:



Carry out routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment to ensure maximum efficiency



Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults quickly to reduce downtime



Support the installation and commissioning of new machinery



Accurately document maintenance work, inspections, and repairs



Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and maintain a safe working environment



Collaborate with the production team to align equipment performance with operational needs



Contribute to continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity and reliability



Shift Pattern:



7/14 - rotating days and nights



Requirements:



Relevant engineering qualifications or a time-served apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical engineering



Previous experience in a similar engineering role within manufacturing or food production is desirable



Strong problem-solving skills with both mechanical and electrical systems



Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations within an engineering environment



Proactive, adaptable, and keen to learn new skills



Strong communication and teamwork abilities



Flexibility to work shifts and respond to operational demands
