Multi-Skilled Engineer – Electrical Bias
Role Overview
I am seeking a skilled engineer to join a key client's Wednesday to Saturday shift team, working varying hours between 6:00am and 10:00pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct planned preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance on production equipment, high-speed packaging machinery, and site services.
- Perform repairs, refurbishments, installations, upgrades, and modifications to equipment and facilities.
- Lead and contribute to continuous improvement and process optimisation initiatives.
- Deliver electrical installation and modification project work.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and control panels.
- Carry out mechanical fault-finding, repairs, and routine preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Engineering.
- Preferably City & Guilds, ONC, or HNC qualified in Engineering.
- Strong problem-solving and fault diagnosis abilities.
- Proficient in both electrical and mechanical fault-finding and repair (17th Edition certification desirable).
- Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ideally within food production or FMCG.
- Solid working knowledge of PLC systems, control panels, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
