Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Days) in Sheffield

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client in Sheffield for a straight day shift, Monday to Friday. This will be in a fast-paced, medium/heavy manufacturing environment. A fantastic opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys autonomy, problem-solving, and keeping production running smoothly.

\nAbout the Role\n

Working as part of a small, supportive engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining a range of mechanical and electrical equipment used in our production processes.

\n

Key Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs.

\n

• Diagnose faults and complete root-cause analysis.

\n

• Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.

\n

• Work with production teams to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.

\n

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with site standards.

\n

• Assist with installations, upgrades, and project work when required.

\n

\nWhat We're Looking For\n

\n
• Time-served or formally qualified engineer (Mechanical, Electrical or Multi-skilled).

\n

• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment-heavier industry experience advantageous.

\n

• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

\n

• Ability to work safely, independently, and as part of a team and commutable to Sheffield

\n

• Good understanding of PLCs, motors, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes or similar equipment.

\n

• Candidates with experience of extrusion machinery will be of particular interest.

\n
