Position Title: Field Supervisor

Location: Qatar

Contract: Initial 6-month contract with possible extension

Position Overview:

We are seeking a senior-level Field Supervisor to oversee field operations for major oil & gas projects. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, managing field crews and ensuring operations are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards. The Field Supervisor acts as a technical specialist and mentor, providing guidance and support across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety, Security & Compliance

• Maintain the highest standards of safety, security, and environmental protection
• Ensure all activities comply with corporate HSE policies, regulations, and industry standards
• Promote continual improvement in health, safety, and environmental practices
• Provide effective safety leadership for field teams and site visitors

Quality Management

• Uphold quality standards and ensure adherence to operational procedures and technical work instructions
• Support and participate in quality audits as required
• Maintain service quality and identify areas for improvement

Operations

• Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of advanced field equipment
• Verify equipment readiness and adherence to job hazard analyses
• Prepare accurate operational reports and maintain relevant documentation
• Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) to implement corrective and preventive actions
• Coach, mentor, and oversee field operations teams
• Provide recommendations for operational process and procedure improvements
• Be available on call to respond to operational needs

Communication

• Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, including internal teams and clients
• Clearly communicate expectations, roles, and responsibilities to field staff

Financial Responsibility

• Ensure all costs are within approved budgets and comply with financial policies and procedures

People & Development

• Drive personal and team development by completing required training and development programs
• Engage with teams to support talent management, succession planning, and performance coaching

Vision & Leadership

• Demonstrate ethical leadership and adherence to professional standards
• Provide guidance and mentoring to field operations personnel

Experience & Education:

• 5+ years in oil & gas operations
• Technical certificate from an accredited technical school or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of relevant field operations experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Hands-on experience with field operations, equipment installation, and maintenance
• Competency in job hazard analysis, risk assessment, and compliance with operational procedures
• Ability to supervise, mentor, and guide field teams
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
• Flexibility to work in physically demanding environments and offshore rotations as required

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

• Work may involve lifting, standing, walking, climbing, bending, and working in variable environmental conditions
• Exposure to heights, heat, noise, and other field-related conditions may occur

Licenses & Certifications:

• Relevant technical certifications or vocational qualifications
• Compliance with safety and operational training requirements
