The Motive Power Specialist is responsible for project managing, selling, and engineering motive power solutions for Bailey and Bailey’s customers. This role collaborates heavily with the sales team at Bailey and requires some travel to visit customer locations, perform power studies, train staff, etc. The Motive Power Specialist also supports the Industrial Power service program and other Industrial Solutions efforts. The Motive Power Specialist reports to the Industrial Solutions Director.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Drive industrial power sales efforts to grow the Industrial Power division at Bailey and achieve supplier sales and market share targets
Perform power studies and analytics to optimize motive power solutions for Bailey’s rental fleet and customers
Travel to support motive power sales and the overall customer experience
Complete quotes, estimates, proposals, and visualizations
Train Bailey’s representatives on our motive power solutions
Assist with the development and management of Bailey’s industrial power service program
Champion quality control to ensure motive power projects are well designed, safe, and within budget
Administer contracts, permits, insurance requirements, and other required documentation for projects
Assist with development of new partnerships with solutions providers, suppliers, subcontractors, and referral partners
Work with customers and the sales team on data collection, specifications, and solution requirements
Support the growth of electric forklift market share, particularly narrow / very narrow aisle equipment
Supports Bailey’s zero waste and sustainability efforts through process improvement, waste reduction, and the delivery of environmentally sustainable solutions
Project manage other initiatives and projects, and handle additional tasks and responsibilities, as assigned

Education/Training/Experience:
College Degree (required), degree in industrial engineering
2+ years of experience in industrial power, engineering, equipment sales, or other material handling roles
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Deep knowledge of batteries and chargers
Strategic thinking and problem-solving
Great communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong PowerPoint and Excel capabilities
