Peerless is searching for a Mid-Level Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Developer to support critical U.S. Navy programs at NSWC Crane. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and engineering skills, with the ability to translate military mission needs and technical documentation into digital models that evaluate system and system-of-systems performance. The successful candidate will interpret military mission threads and system technical documentation to extract key attributes for modeling. They will develop digital representations of system behaviors, integrate modeling components into established M&S toolsets, and generate supporting design documentation while maintaining version control. The role includes validating M&S outputs to ensure realistic, reliable results that support mission engineering and system performance assessments within a secure integrated data environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in an engineering or scientific research role.
- 1+ years of M&S experience.
- Familiarity with one or more of the following: AFSIM, ITASE, TMAP, or STK
- Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program, or a degree in Computer Science or Mathematics.
- Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI (U.S. citizenship required).
Qualifications
- Experience in systems engineering or mission engineering roles.
- Experience with military mission scenario modeling.
- Experience testing digital models or software products.
- Experience with radar, electronic surveillance, or radio datalinks.
- Experience with software or tools such as Python, C++, or Matlab.
