Mobile Plant Operator\n\nSouthampton-based | Travel across the UK | £42,778 (based on 12-hour shifts) + Overtime | Permanent | Van & Fuel Card Provided\n\nAcorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Mobile Plant Operator to join a specialist engineering team operating mobile processing equipment across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for variety, responsibility, and long-term career development.\n\nThe Role:\n\nOperate and maintain mobile processing plant on customer sites across the UK.\nWork on a 10-days on, 4-days off rotation, with accommodation and travel provided.\nFollow staggered shift patterns, including weekends and occasional nights.\nSupport with assembly, disassembly, and optimisation of high-speed industrial machinery.\nCarry out routine maintenance and report faults or hazards appropriately.\nAssist service engineers and follow safe systems of work, including risk assessments and method statements.\n\nThe Person:\n\nBackground in mechanical and/or electrical plant operation.\nComfortable working unsupervised, often at remote sites.\nExperience in process industries such as water treatment, manufacturing, or utilities (desirable).\nSelf-motivated, well-organised, computer literate, and customer focused.\nWilling and able to travel across the UK and work away from home for extended periods.\nFlexible with shift patterns including staggered starts and night work.\nFull UK manual driving licence (clean ).\nForklift or Telehandler licence (advantageous, not essential).\n\nWhat's on Offer:\n\nSalary: Up to £42,778 based on 12-hour shifts.\nOvertime: Paid at 1.5x for Mon-Sat, and 2x for Sundays and Bank Holidays (over 85 hrs/fortnight).\nVan & Fuel: Company vehicle and fuel card provided.\nEquipment: All tools, PPE, and IT equipment supplied.\nSchedule: 10-day working pattern with alternate weekends off and 4 days' rest after rotation.\nBenefits:\n\n28 days' holiday (rising to 33 with service).\nPrivate medical cover (after qualifying period).\nPension scheme.\nCorporate workwear.\nEmployee Assistance Programme.\nComprehensive training and career development opportunities.\n\nApply Now!\n\nReady for a new challenge with a growing engineering leader?
