Location: Hemel Hempstead & Surrounding Areas
Salary: £23.00 per hour + Overtime at 1.5x
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Piling Rig and Crane Engineer to join our established and hardworking team. In this mobile role, you’ll be responsible for the inspection, servicing, maintenance, and repair of piling rigs and lifting equipment across customer sites in Hemel Hempstead and surrounding regions. You’ll work independently, delivering high-quality engineering support while representing the business with professionalism and strong technical capability.
Key Responsibilities
Safely carry out diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on piling rigs and cranes.
Complete routine servicing in line with manufacturer and company standards.
Provide accurate fault-finding and troubleshooting across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Maintain clear communication with customers and internal teams.
Deliver reliable, high-quality workmanship with a strong focus on safety and detail.
Manage workload effectively in a mobile, field-based environment.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience working on piling rigs, cranes, or heavy plant machinery.
NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline .
Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic diagnostic skills.
Ability to work independently with a proactive and customer-focused approach.
Full UK driving licence.
