Full-TimeAbout the Role Pareto FM and SOWGA are looking for a skilled and reliable Mobile Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team, supporting a portfolio of client sites across the region.This is a field-based role where travel between sites is a core part of the position. You'll be responsible for delivering both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities, ensuring client assets and building services remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.Working across a variety of commercial environments, you'll be part of a supportive engineering team with guidance from Supervisors and Contract Managers, while enjoying the autonomy of managing your own workload and day-to-day activities.The Role As a Mobile Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining mechanical building services systems, carrying out planned and reactive works, supporting statutory compliance, and ensuring all maintenance activities are completed to the highest standards.This role would suit a proactive engineer who enjoys working across multiple locations, solving problems, and building positive relationships with clients and colleagues.What You'll Be Doing Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across client sitesResponding to reactive maintenance requests and plant failuresMaintaining and repairing mechanical building services and associated equipmentFault finding across HVAC, ventilation, pumps, hot water systems, and associated plantSupporting statutory maintenance and compliance requirementsMonitoring subcontractor performance during specialist maintenance visitsUpdating maintenance records, logbooks, and compliance documentationCompleting work orders and reporting through SimProCarrying out routine plant inspections and housekeeping checksMonitoring plant performance and identifying potential issues before failure occursSupporting BMS first-line diagnostics where requiredEnsuring all works are completed safely and in line with company proceduresIdentifying and reporting hazards, risks, and compliance concernsLiaising professionally with clients, contractors, and site stakeholdersMaintaining accurate service reports and test documentationSupporting small installation and improvement works when requiredParticipating in the on-call rota to provide out-of-hours supportTeam & Support Structure You'll be supported by an experienced management and engineering team, including:Engineering SupervisorsContract ManagersWider regional engineering support teamsBusiness Support and Administration teamsRegular communication and collaboration ensure engineers have the support, resources, and guidance needed to succeed.What We're Looking For Essential Mechanical Level 2 & Level 3 qualifications (or equivalent)Experience within a maintenance engineering or building services roleStrong fault-finding and problem-solving skillsExperience working on mechanical building services systemsGood understanding of health & safety requirementsAbility to work independently across multiple sitesStrong communication and customer service skillsFull UK Driving LicenceDesirable G3 Unvented Hot Water QualificationIOSH Working SafelyPASMAIPAF 1b / 3a / 3bExperience with BMS systemsKnowledge of L8 compliance, pressurisation systems, and HVAC plantExperience working within commercial facilities management environmentsCall-Out & Working Pattern Field-based role covering multiple client sitesTravel is a core part of the roleMonday to Friday working pattern1 in 6 weeks on-call rotaOvertime opportunities may be available to support business requirementsAbout You You'll be:Customer-focused and professionalWell organised and able to manage your own workloadComfortable working independently and as part of a wider teamProactive in identifying issues and implementing solutionsSafety-conscious with strong attention to detailAdaptable and able to perform in fast-paced, business-critical environmentsTraining & Progression We are committed to supporting our engineers' development through:Ongoing statutory and compliance trainingTechnical upskilling opportunitiesRole-specific development programmesCareer progression discussions as part of regular performance reviewsSupport from experienced engineering and management teamsWhy Join Pareto FM / SOWGA?
