OVERVIEW:

  • The Project Manager – Mitigation is responsible for the overall profitability of the division as well as to procure customers, provide estimates, hire staff, and oversee and direct the work on the mitigation projects awarded. This position will work directly for and closely with the Operations Manager


SUPERVISION AND EXERCISE RECEIVED:

  • Receives direct or general supervision from Operations Manager


EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Screen and pre-qualify every new assignment
  • Review, proof and finalize all scopes with adjusters and clients
  • Assign a Superintendent to each and every project
  • Project collections
  • Complete an accurate estimate with listings of all items required to compete the repairs
  • Review completed files for profitability and accuracy of the original scope
  • Attend all company meetings and functions
  • Assist in hiring all team members
  • Finding, hiring, and utilizing subcontractors
  • Handle pertinent calls with the adjuster, agent property manager, tenant, or other concerned party
  • Make initial contact with the insured and the adjuster
  • Assure that your Team is trained and updated in safety responsibilities
  • Assist with company training and other events
  • Responsible for undertaking marketing activities that will lead to more work from current sources and new work from new sources
  • Managing details of multiple projects in a sufficiently and organized manner
  • Communicating a positive image of the company to the entire staff
  • Implementing the company vision and mission and achieving goals
  • Periodically writing scopes for water damage emergencies and carpeting cleaning estimates
  • Responsible for the project outcomes and issues
  • Marketing and sales will involve developing relationships with individuals in the industry that will recommend our business
  • Prospecting and locating additional projects
  • Assist in problem solving and motivating team members to better the company
  • Work with the Claims Coordinator and Administration to collect on debts for all projects, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Ability To:

  • Be available for on call and emergency services
  • Communicate and coordinate with the TEAM for timely job completion
  • Write accurate estimates for projects and scope of work
  • Manage multiple client accounts at one time
  • Train and lead employees to successful projects and elevated customer services
  • Manage projects to consistently achieve a high degree of profitability
  • Manage professional and timely customer service contact with clients, employees, and vendors
  • Multitask multiple task and projects
  • Produce reports as needed in regard to customer information
  • Generate information within a reasonable time frame with accuracy and efficiency
  • Implement and design policies and procedures for the company
  • Read, understand, and follow the PCR file flow system
  • Positively motivate others
  • Convey a positive image of the company
  • Make progress toward the corporate vision
  • Assist in solving problems and in making this a more effective organization
  • Ability to read and write English
  • General mathematical and data entry skills

Knowledge of:

  • Industry software: Xactimate, Contractor Connection, PSA, Code Blue, and other similar programs
  • Proper pricing and estimates for material costs and needs for projects
  • Understanding of estimating programs and other related programs required for the position
  • Working with annual budgets, business plans and sales goals
  • All policies and procedures of the company
  • Proper filing techniques, office efficiencies and timely processing
  • Proper and appropriate phone skills and handling customer complaints and issues
  • Laws, rules, and regulations that govern the areas of your job, including but not limited to project and site management, as they relate to the administration and the company
  • Cooperation and respect for others. Working in a close office environment and working with others to respect ideas and opinions
  • Developing and presenting creative solutions to problems


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Management or construction related field or a minimum of five years of experience in water mitigation services, or any equivalent combination of education and experience


LICENSE AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid State driver's license


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer; to operate a motor vehicle and to visit various customers and meeting sites; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups, and over the telephone. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must have the ability to perform onsite reviews including exertion of a moderate amount of physical effort to stoop, crouch, climb and lift in the performance of duties. Tasks may require extended periods of time at a keyboard. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard, typewriter keyboard, or calculator and to operate standard office equipment. Positions in this classification occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, and pull drawers open and closed to retrieve and file information
  • Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects, up to 50 pounds, necessary to perform job functions


WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Employees work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, controlled temperature conditions, and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances
  • Employees may interact with upset staff and/or public and private representatives in interpreting and enforcing departmental policies and procedures
  • Worker may be subject to uncomfortable working conditions including exposure to extreme heat or cold, dust, noise, unusual heights, wet conditions, confined spaces, electrical currents and construction hazards.
