Staffworks Group is seeking a reliable and experienced Millwright/Mechanical Engineer with at least 4 years of hands-on experience to assist with the installation of an MS pipe cutting machine in New Haven, CT. This is a high-demand project requiring full-time availability for extended hours over the next 3 months.

Position: Millwright / Mechanical Engineer
Location: New Haven, CT
Pay Rate: $35–$45 per hour (Based on Experience)
Schedule: 7 Days per Week, 10 Hours per Day (Includes 30 Hours of Overtime Weekly)
Per Diem: Not Available
Duration: 3-Month Project Commitment

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the mechanical installation and alignment of an MS pipe cutting machine
• Rigging, lifting, bolting, and securing large mechanical components
• Participate in weld prep and light welding as required
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, plans, and specifications
• Collaborate with other mechanical personnel on-site to ensure proper installation and commissioning
• Ensure all mechanical work is performed safely and in compliance with OSHA standards
• Maintain tools and equipment in proper working order
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and assist with on-site adjustments

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of experience in millwright work or mechanical installations
• Strong understanding of rigging, mechanical assembly, and structural connections
• Ability to assist with or perform basic welding tasks
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and mechanical schematics
• Must be willing and able to work 7 days a week, 10 hours per day for the duration of the project
• No electrical experience required
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding conditions
• Punctuality, reliability, and a team-oriented attitude are essential
• Must have reliable transportation to job site in New Haven, CT
