Job DescriptionJob Description

Huber Cabinet Works is seeking a skilled Millwork Machine Operator to join our team. We are a union architectural millwork company specializing in high-end commercial interiors throughout Chicagoland. Our projects range from corporate headquarters and Class A office spaces to hospitality and specialty environments, partnering with some of Chicago’s most respected general contractors. Key Responsibilities

• Operate woodworking machinery including panel saws, table saws, shapers, jointers, planers, and related equipment
• Process materials such as plywood, MDF, plastic laminate, veneer panels, solid lumber, and composite materials
• Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings to machine parts accurately
• Generate stock lists and organize machined components for efficient cabinet assembly
• Coordinate with the Shop Foreman and fellow machine operators to maintain production flow
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Assist with machine setup, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance as needed

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a custom architectural millwork shop required
• Strong knowledge of woodworking machinery and safe operating procedures
• Ability to read shop drawings and produce parts with precision
• Forklift experience
• CNC experience is a plus (not required)
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while contributing to a team
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-quality production environment
