Commercial Architectural Millwork
We are looking for a serious millwork professional to lead our drafting and engineering department.
If your experience is primarily general CAD, residential cabinetry, or furniture, this position will not be a good fit. We are specifically looking for someone who understands commercial architectural millwork and how drawings translate to production.
What You Will Be Responsible For
- Leading and managing the drafting & engineering department
- Creating and reviewing architectural millwork shop drawings
- Working within Innergy ERP to support project workflows
- Maintaining and engineering projects using Microvellum
- Coordinating with project managers, production, and installation teams
- Managing RFIs, VIFs, and drawing revisions
- Managing outsourced drafting when workload requires it
- Maintaining Microvellum libraries and engineering standards
- Researching new machinery, building technology, and fabrication techniques
- Recommending process improvements and production efficiencies
- Overseeing tooling orders and drafting department technology
What We Expect
- 5+ years experience in commercial architectural millwork
- Strong Microvellum experience
- Experience working in or with an ERP system (Innergy )
- Ability to read architectural plans, specifications, and details
- Understanding of CNC production and shop processes
- Ability to lead a drafting team and keep projects moving
