MIG Welder – Structural Steel (Entry-Level & Experienced Welcome)

Location: Maple Plain, MN 55359

Position Details

Job Title: MIG Welder – Structural Steel
Pay: $20–$27/hour (Based on Experience)
Shift: 1st Shift – 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with overtime available

You'll work on structural steel components used in large construction projects in a team-oriented shop with opportunities to develop your skills.

✅ What You'll Do

• Perform MIG welding on structural steel components
• Read and interpret blueprints (training available for entry-level candidates)
• Fit, align, grind, and prepare materials for welding
• Inspect completed welds for quality and accuracy
• Pass a weld test and written assessment during the hiring process

Qualifications

Experienced Candidates:

• 2–3 years of MIG welding experience
• Blueprint reading and fitting experience
• Structural steel welding experience is a plus

Entry-Level Candidates:

• Recent welding school graduates encouraged to apply
• Basic MIG welding knowledge
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Reliable attendance and positive attitude

PPE Requirements

• Steel-toed boots required
• Gloves and additional safety equipment provided
