We are looking for a Prefab Welder/Fabricator to join our growing team at Professional Electrical Contractors. As a Prefab Welder/Fabricator you will successfully produce quality assemblies for commercial electrical construction projects The ideal candidate will have 1 to 2 years of fabrication welding experience and be able to bring new ideas to that table. We will consider applicants that can showcase their talent, and are currently pursuing or recently completed state approved formal education welding program.

Job Requirements

• Fabricating/welding custom materials for electrical prefabrication shop.
• Reading and working from blueprints, creating layouts, and communicating effectively with the team.
• Be able to use and read measuring devices such as tape measures, level, etc.
• Be able to read, understand, and work from blueprints and/or shop drawings.
• Able to work with prolonged sitting, standing or kneeling.
• Able to safely lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Adhere to all safety standards and procedures.
• Must have completed or be able to pass the Massachusetts Hot Work Certification requirement for welding.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will satisfy the following requirements and qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Technical training from an accredited school.
• Able to work overtime as required.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen that does not include THC
  
• Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask while staying organized.
• Be self-motivated.
