Job description
The company are looking for a confident Mig & Tig welder to work in a high-quality manufacturing environment.
Carrying out Tig & Mig welding process on Stainless steel to manufactured items and components.
Cutting materials into the required shapes, checking dimensions and thicknesses to specs
Welding & joining materials into a wide range of structures.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project specifications and requirements.
Following engineering plans, drawings and instructions.
Operating tools and machinery and welding equipment's.
Inspecting and testing welds with precision measuring instruments to Standard requirements.
Dismantling metal structures.
Quality Control
Inspecting completed welds for defects such as cracks or inadequate fusion, and making necessary adjustments to ensure quality standards are met.
Check for Products Modification in line with Engineering department.
Equipment Maintenance
Regularly Cleaning tools, equipment's and work areas use 5S method & House Keeping Rules.
Regularly maintaining and inspecting welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety during operations
Safety Compliance & Work Environment
Following safety protocols, including wearing protective gear & maintaining a clean work environment to prevent accidents and injuries.
The role requires working in various conditions, including exposure to noise, heat, and fumes, necessitating adherence to safety standards.
Experience
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Tig & MIG welding techniques and familiarity with various metals and their properties.
Completed Welding Certificate
(NVQ level 3 / 4 or city & guilds)
Strong attention to detail to ensure precision in welding and adherence to specifications.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials as required in the welding process.
Good troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve equipment issues or welding defects.
