Mid-Level Systems Engineer

Make an impact at the intersection of mission, technology, and intelligence. As a Mid-Level Systems Engineer, you will help deliver timely, accurate Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) across the NSG, ASG, and U.S. Federal Agencies. This role blends technical depth with mission understanding to create scalable, resilient solutions that directly support security.

Your Role

You will apply a multi-disciplinary systems engineering approach to translate complex mission needs into actionable, high‑quality technical solutions. In this role, you'll shape system architectures, guide engineering decisions, and support government stakeholders across the full lifecycle. You'll also mentor junior engineers and contribute to the evolution of GEOINT capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support systems engineering activities across the full lifecycle, including requirements development, design, integration, testing, and evaluation.
  • Analyze and translate user and mission needs into system and capability requirements with full traceability.
  • Design and assess system architectures, workflows, and cloud capabilities; identify opportunities for automation and improvement.
  • Develop technical solutions leveraging emerging technologies while mentoring junior engineers.
  • Support government stakeholders with systems integration, execution planning, and architecture allocation.
  • Contribute to AoAs, CoAs, trade studies, and engineering assessments.
  • Assist with strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or a related STEM field
    • OR 6 years of equivalent mid-level Systems Engineering experience
  • TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a poly
  • Minimum 6 years of mid-level Systems Engineering experience in government or industry
  • Experience supporting large, complex systems, including System-of-Systems, SOA, and/or cloud-based environments
  • Working experience with one or more government processes:
  • DoD / IC acquisition processes
  • Requirements development and management
  • PPBES

Core Skills

  • Requirements analysis and traceability across the engineering lifecycle
  • Systems integration within complex technical environments

Desired Qualifications

Technical Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including tools and modeling
  • Familiarity with modern software development frameworks

Certifications & Professional Engagement

  • INCOSE ASEP certification
  • Membership or participation in organizations such as:
  • ACSM
  • ASCE
  • ASPRS
  • OGC
  • SAREM
  • USGIF

Domain Expertise

  • Experience supporting GEOINT missions or programs
  • Knowledge of GEOINT-related disciplines (photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, GIS, geomatics, etc.)
  • Familiarity with NSG, ASG, and/or NRO enterprise environments
