Michael A. Beach & Associates is looking to expand their engineering team!

We are currently seeking a motivated Structural Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of Structural Building Engineering experience to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for an engineer with entrepreneurial spirit looking to develop their career in a dynamic firm with plenty of upwards potential. This position will report to the senior staff.

Michael A. Beach & Associates, LLC is a consulting firm specializing in structural engineering, design, investigation and analysis. Founded in 1997, we are headquartered in Mount Laurel, New Jersey and have completed thousands of projects from Maine to Florida and as far west as Texas and Illinois. Our senior staff has a combined level of experience of more than 100 years.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare structural engineering documents and reports in collaboration with senior staff.
• Communicate with the firm's consultants and clients.
• Follow company safety standards and site safety standards.
• Utilize field measuring equipment.
• Review and interpret building code requirements.
• Perform structural analysis and design calculations.
• Prepare portions of client deliverables including field reports, calculation packages, drawings, specifications, letters, and reports.
• Utilize AutoCAD and Revit as required to support production of construction documents.
• Coordinate elements of projects for senior staff.
• Assist with performing structural investigations of existing structures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with Structural emphasis (Master’s preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of Structural Engineering Design
• EIT required or ability to obtain within 6-12 months
• AutoCAD knowledge required Revit knowledge preferred.
• Must have taken wood and steel courses in college
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.

Qualifying Attributes:

• Team work and "self-starter" skills are preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and should come with positive attitude and willingness to learn and absorb information.
• Ability to work independently and thrive in fast-paced environments
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills

License:

• Licenses required: Engineer-In-Training or ability to obtain within 6 -12 months.
