Summary
The MIL Corporation seeks a Microsoft Power Platform Developer/Financial Audit Analyst (Software Engineering, Senior Analyst) with a strong understanding of federal financial audit to support a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) client in the Washington, DC area. Responsibilities include building AI-enabled, cloud-based MS Power Apps, SharePoint sites and PowerBI dashboards to support coordinating federal financial/IT audit requests and corrective action solutions.
The position will be a hybrid position with telework based on client requirements.
Responsibilities
Providing support for improvement of the financial audit provided-by-client (PBC) request coordination, tracking, and audit finding remediation utilizing automation and AI utilizing Microsoft 365 Power Platform tools (PowerApps, SharePoint, PowerBI, PowerAutomate)
Work with client and team to design, implement, and manage MS 365 enabled apps for various financial audit coordination and remediation processes.
Support testing and technical training for users.
Provide deployment and post-deployment support for solutions.
Utilize Power Platform solutions to support reviews of financial audit conditions, findings, and gaps
Consult with the client on AI and automation solutions to address audit corrective actions, process improvements, and remediation activities

Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of technical experience in combined systems or application development
Requirements development and/or automated financial systems analysis.
Experience building MS Power Platform apps utilizing PowerApps, PowerBI, PowerAutomate, SharePoint and associated tools
Solid understanding of the full software development life cycle, including comprehensive requirements gathering, high level and detailed systems design, agile development practices, QA testing outcomes and dependencies, and production monitoring and maintenance operations
Ability to troubleshoot and fix issues with existing tools built on Microsoft 365
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Must have the ability to communicate technical as well as non-technical information clearly, both orally and in writing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to maintain timelines, meet deadlines and prioritize to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Desired Qualifications
Experience performing financial audits, internal control reviews, or audit readiness functions
Experience auditing federal agencies' financial statements or performing audit readiness work directly in support of an audit readiness task order
Knowledge of current government-wide policies and regulations concerning accounting standards, auditing standards, financial reporting and financial management
Experience with Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICOFR) and financial system controls
Understanding of enterprise frameworks and best practices for development.
Web development experience
Agile development experience
DHS-specific audit remediation or audit liaison experience
Education
BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Accounting or other related fields

For this position, the projected compensation range is $45,000 - $59,664 per year. This estimate represents the typical salary range and is just one part of MIL's complete compensation package.
