MEP Project Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Project Engineer to support the delivery of MEP projects. This role is focused on pre-mobilisation, design coordination, and project execution, ensuring seamless communication between design, procurement, and on-site delivery teams.



Key Responsibilities:

Lead site design surveys and produce accurate survey data for the design team



*



Review tenders with a focus on technical design, programme, and risk



*



Host and contribute to design Q&A sessions with clients and internal delivery teams



*



Submit and track RFIs to resolve design or project-related queries



*



Produce procurement documents and complete technical submittals



*



Develop project programmes, flagging risks and critical dependencies



*



Perform material and labour take-offs and measurements



*



Liaise with Procurement to ensure materials, plant, and equipment are procured on time



*



Raise Invitations to Tender (ITTs), analyse subcontractor quotes, and support the Commercial team in awarding contracts



*



Assist in technical communication across all project stakeholders



*



Support the Project Manager and Contracts Manager with QA/QC compliance



*



Take responsibility for project-specific Contractor Design Portions (CDPs)



*



Draft detailed site instructions, including works scope, location, timeframes, cost implications, and change events



*



Verify commissioning documentation against project design and specification



*



Draft and compile handover documents, including O&M manuals



Skills & Qualifications Required:



*



HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering



*



Strong organisational and time management skills



*



High attention to detail and technical accuracy



*



Sound knowledge of British Standards in mechanical and/or electrical engineering



*



Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively



*



Strong verbal and written communication skills across all levels



*



Full understanding of Health & Safety best practices and site regulations



*



Experience producing technical reports and resolving design challenges



*



Experience in a similar MEP engineering role



*



Professional, client-facing communication skills



*



Full UK Driving Licence
