Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical MEP Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license to join our multidisciplinary engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, coordination, and implementation of electrical systems within commercial, institutional, and/or industrial MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) projects. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical systems, energy codes, and construction practices.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and engineering of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, low voltage, and emergency systems.

Prepare detailed electrical design documents (drawings, specifications, and calculations) using AutoCAD, Revit, and other design tools.

Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, and architectural disciplines to ensure cohesive design.

Conduct load calculations, short-circuit analysis, arc flash studies, and lighting analysis.

Review and seal design documents as a licensed PE.

Ensure designs comply with and local codes (NEC, IECC, NFPA, etc.).

Support project managers with schedules, budgets, and client communications.

Attend client and site meetings; provide construction administration support and respond to RFIs/submittals.

Mentor junior engineers and assist in quality control processes.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Professional Engineer (PE) license required (must be active and in good standing).

6+ years of relevant experience in MEP electrical design.

Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and electrical design software (e.g., SKM, ETAP).

Strong knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards.

Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
