Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical MEP Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license to join our multidisciplinary engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, coordination, and implementation of electrical systems within commercial, institutional, and/or industrial MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) projects. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical systems, energy codes, and construction practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and engineering of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, low voltage, and emergency systems.

  • Prepare detailed electrical design documents (drawings, specifications, and calculations) using AutoCAD, Revit, and other design tools.

  • Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, and architectural disciplines to ensure cohesive design.

  • Conduct load calculations, short-circuit analysis, arc flash studies, and lighting analysis.

  • Review and seal design documents as a licensed PE.

  • Ensure designs comply with and local codes (NEC, IECC, NFPA, etc.).

  • Support project managers with schedules, budgets, and client communications.

  • Attend client and site meetings; provide construction administration support and respond to RFIs/submittals.

  • Mentor junior engineers and assist in quality control processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required (must be active and in good standing).

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in MEP electrical design.

  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and electrical design software (e.g., SKM, ETAP).

  • Strong knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
