MEP CAD Technician
TSA Surveying are currnetly working in partnership with a well-established building services consultancy, how are looking for an MEP CAD Technician to join their Birmingham based team a full-time, permanent basis.
This role involves producing high-quality service drawings to support MEP Engineers across a varied and dynamic project portfolio, including:
Educational facilities (schools and universities)
Residential developments (multi-storey accommodation)
Local government buildings
Commercial schemes (office spaces)Key Responsibilities
Collaborate flexibly within a multidisciplinary team to meet project deliverables
Support project leads across all RIBA work stages
Produce accurate technical drawings and computations as required
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry developments and adhere to CPD commitments
Follow internal procedures, including document filing, CAD layering standards, and administrative tasks
Escalate legal, contractual, or financial matters to a Partner as appropriateEssential Skills & Qualifications
Proficient in AutoCAD 2D, with working knowledge of Revit 3D
Current workload is approximately 95% 2D and 5% 3D, with a gradual transition anticipated toward more 3D-based work
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
City & Guilds Certificate in Computer Aided Design (2D and 3D) is advantageous
Demonstrated experience in MEP Building Services environments
