MEICA Project Manager - Water

Job description:



Our client is a water and civil engineering contractor Tier1 main contractor with many years’ experience delivering world class projects across the UK and they are currently looking to recruit a MEICA Project Manager for projects in the Hampshire or Thames Valley regions



As their MEICA Project Manager you will be responsible for delivering water and wastewater projects with Thames Water across their site locations. This is a challenging role but also rewarding with the opportunity to play a key role in supporting the Southern Region in its portfolio of Works based out of the offices and /or site, delivering their capital works commitments.



Key Accountability and Responsibilities:



• Management and Project/Programme Delivery



• Safe delivery and management of projects to time, cost and quality



• Produce financial forecast, monitoring and controlling project costs and cost reporting, and produce monthly reports to Contracts Manager on project performance, efficient team building and operational organisation



• Monitoring and periodic review of project commercial performance, forecasting and budget control (with commercial colleagues)



• Periodic reporting in line with Company, client and project requirements



• Project programme compliance and updating (with planners)



• Ensure compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements



• Management and monitoring of approved specialist sub-contractors and wider supply chain partners



• Co-ordination and liaison with key project stakeholders (internal & external)



• Tasking, productivity and standards compliance



• Project risk and change identification/reporting



• Project design liaison, review and updating (with designers)



• Ensuring final project data collation required to achieve project completion



• Management of operational assets prior to client hand-over.



• Full life cycle responsibility for MEICA quality and consistency; from project need establishment to commissioning handover.



• Previous demonstrable experience in a similar MEICA project management role



• MEICA/civil works multi-disciplined interfacing



• Full understanding of EICA industry standards



• Ability to use AMTECH models with good knowledge of SLD, P&ID.



• Understanding of SCADA, ICA interfacing, HMIs, telemetry outstations, I/O configuration, LV, panels/ MCCs and switchgears



• Appreciation of PLC logic although not essential.



• Appreciation of generators and TX's
