The Medical Records Specialist plays a critical role in managing and maintaining accurate and confidential patient records within a hospice care setting. This position ensures that all medical documentation complies with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards, facilitating seamless communication among healthcare providers. The specialist is responsible for organizing, updating, and safeguarding patient information to support quality patient care and effective clinical decision-making. By meticulously handling records, the role contributes to the overall efficiency of healthcare services and supports compliance with healthcare laws and policies. Ultimately, the Medical Records Specialist helps to preserve the integrity and accessibility of vital patient data throughout the continuum of hospice care.
Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED equivalent required

Strong data entry and auditing skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), Google products
