Schultz & Pogue seeks a medical malpractice litigation paralegal to work with its medical malpractice defense team at the firm's downtown Indianapolis office.

Key Responsibilities: Manage medical review panel process; manage electronic and paper files including client documents, pleadings, discovery materials, panel submissions, non-party discovery, and other case documents; manage dockets and track calendar dates and deadlines; assist with electronic case filing in state and federal courts; draft appearances, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents; assist with trial, hearing, and deposition prep.

This is a hybrid position, Monday – Friday.

Standout candidates will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Associate Degree in paralegal studies or paralegal certificate required.
  • Dedicated experience as a paralegal focusing in litigation.
  • Experience in reviewing records and preparing medical chronologies
  • Strong knowledge of applicable statutes, regulations, and court procedures.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Maintains confidentiality and exercises discretion in dealing with sensitive information.
  • Experience in medical malpractice
