About the Role
Laboratory Express is seeking a Medical Laboratory Customer Support representative to serve as the primary contact between our laboratory and healthcare providers. Ideal for customer service professionals wanting to advance into the healthcare industry.
Key Responsibilities
1. Answer incoming calls from healthcare providers and patients.
2. Assist with test ordering, scheduling, and result inquiries.
3. Resolve billing questions and insurance authorizations issues
4. Coordinate specimen collection and delivery logistics
5. Enter patient information and orders into laboratory systems
6. Process and track laboratory requisitions and reports
7. Provide excellent customer service while maintaining HIPAA compliance
Requirements
1. High school diploma required; some college
2. Previous customer service or call center experience strongly
3. Strong communication skills and professional phone matter.
4. Computer proficiency and the ability to navigate multiple systems
5. Problem - solving skills and patience with challenging situations
6. No medical laboratory experience required- we provide comprehensive training.
