Mechanical Test Technician

1st Shift (M-F 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.)

This individual will support two groups: The ceiling/splash group responsibilities include hooking up an airflow machine to the vehicle through the front windows and measuring static body pressure and looking for seals that could fail or body leaks that appear. The VHF (Vehicle Handling Facility) group has a 4-poster rig that measures the articulation of the suspension and VMIF that ensures measuring the CG of the vehicle. This person will be working with garage/dust - blowing wind and dust and looking for all of this dust intrusion getting in - and water tables that spray water all over the car, looking for failure points in the vehicle.

Requirements:

High School Diploma

2+ years of experience

Need to have mechanical ability – need to have experience working on vehicles (example – dealership, independent shops, doing interior work, suspension work)

Soft skills – effective communication skills, time management (need to show up to work on time and complete things in a timely manner)

Computer savvy
