Job Description

We’re partnered with one of the most innovative communications technology organisations in Cambridge, who rarely hire at this senior level. The business is expanding globally and is looking to bring in an talented Mechanical Test Engineer to ensure the validation and qualification of mechanical designs through to product release.

What we looking:

• You have hands-on experience delivering mechanical verification and validation across the full product lifecycle.
• You confidently plan and execute environmental, durability, and structural testing against requirements.
• You’ve carried out shock, vibration, drop, thermal, and IP testing with clear pass/fail outcomes.
• You design and build test fixtures and rigs to support verification activities.
• You analyse results, identify failure modes, and provide structured root-cause feedback.
• You manage prototypes and test samples to support rapid, iterative development.
