Mechanical Test Engineer 40-80% (a)

The Mechanical Test Engineer will be responsible for the following tasks areas: Planning and coordinating analytical tests execution at external laboratories Planning, preparing/developing & execute some tests internally when necessary Analysing test results (including chromatographical data, statistics) and documenting them in form of a test report Supporting the building and maintenance of the LAB (as needed) Creating documentation required to comply with established processes (as needed) NOTE: Depending on the experience and seniority level tasks can be extended with a focus on mechanical testing of packaging products such as auto-injectors or pen injectors The successful candidate must have: Master's in Chemical Engineering / Chemistry, Materials Science, Polymers Science and Engineering, or in a related field, OR accomplished apprenticeship in related field AND several years work experience in primary packing/mechanical testing 3-5 years experience in similar role for medical products (e.g. drug delivery systems, plastic primary packaging containers, pharma) Knowledge about Extractable & Leachable studies, NIOSH testing Preferably: Hands-on experience in mechanical testing/fluid mechanics and test method development Proven experience in writing test plans/reports and quality records Knowledge in statistical data analysis with tools such as Minitab Business and Academic English fluency is a must, German skills are an advantage Pro-active and results oriented person able to work independently and push for results Modern working environment with state-of-the-art facilities and technologies Challenging assignments in a fast growing and innovative industry Position in a dynamic, international team of highly skilled professionals Remote work model only for candidates who are based in Switzerland, remote work from abroad only 10%.
