NW31374\n\nMechanical Technician - Power Station\n £50,000 + Bonus & Benefits | Monday to Friday\n\nSlough\n\nWe are recruiting a Mechanical Technician to join the maintenance team at a newly commissioned power station in Slough.\n This is a fantastic opportunity for an apprentice-trained engineer with heavy engineering experience to take on a key role maintaining critical plant equipment.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nCarry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across the site.\nDiagnose and repair a wide range of mechanical equipment including gearboxes, valves, compressors, pumps, fans, and boilers.\nSupport the Maintenance Manager with daily maintenance activities and plant optimisation.\nUse the CMMS system to log and maintain accurate maintenance records.\nSupervise 3rd party contractors during scheduled and unscheduled works.\nEnsure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with company HSEQ standards.\nProvide occasional technical support to operations and fuel handling teams. \n\nCandidate Requirements:\n\nRecognised engineering qualification (e.g., City & Guilds Level 3, Mechanical Apprenticeship).\nMinimum 3 years' experience in a power station or heavy process industry (EfW, CCGT, CHP, Biomass, Nuclear, Petrochemical, etc.).\nExperience working with conveyors, valves, pumps, gearboxes, and steam-raising equipment.\nRoyal Navy Marine Engineers with at least 5 years' service will also be considered.\nIdeally IOSH or NEBOSH certified.\nStrong problem-solving skills with a proactive, safety-first approach. \n\nWhat's in it for you:\n\nSalary: circa £50,000 p/a\nBonus scheme + private medical + income protection\nMonday-Friday role with good work-life balance\nHigh potential for overtime\nExcellent training & career progression opportunities in a growing energy business \n\nApply now with your CV or call Noah on (phone number removed) ext 218 for more information.\n\nNot for you?
