Job Description

We are recruiting experienced Mechanical Technician to join a leading engineering company working on specialist projects for deployable infrastructure. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality builds and project delivery.\n\nCandidate must be able to provide 3 years' worth of employment references and must be eligible to obtain basic security clearance.\n Key Responsibilities:\n\nTo manufacture, assemble and build units to company's standards.\nAssemble and build projects using engineering drawings and design data.\nSupport production managers in meeting deadlines and maintaining budget requirements.\nTake part in continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing and 5S processes.\nEnsure all equipment and tooling needs are identified and reported.\nAttend production meetings when required.Requirements:\n\nExperience in mechanical fitting, assembly, or joining, preferably in automotive or heavy industry.\nSkilled in drilling aluminium components and installing blind rivets with pneumatic tools.\nCompletion of an apprenticeship (City & Guilds or equivalent) in Vehicle Body Building, Mechanical Fitting, or Manufacturing and Assembly.\nAbility to read and work from engineering drawings and technical designs.\nKnowledge of workshop processes, production methods, and safety standards.\nStrong communication skills and a proactive team-oriented approach.Qualifications: \n\nCompleted a City and Guilds Apprenticeship or equivalent in Vehicle Body Building, Mechanical Fitting or a Manufacturing and Assembly Qualification.\nExperience in Vehicle Body Building, Mechanical Fitting or equivalent trade.\nUnderstanding and experience in Assembly processes and techniques.\n What We Offer:\n\nOvertime opportunities with competitive pay rates.\nThe chance to work on cutting-edge projects with a leading organization.\nPotential for contract extension beyond 6 months
