Mechanical Technician

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join a multinational manufacturing organisation.



This hands-on position focuses on maintaining and servicing production equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency. You will collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to minimise downtime whilst enhancing overall equipment reliability.



Key Responsibilities



Execute planned preventative maintenance programmes on machinery and equipment

Diagnose faults and perform repairs on mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

Respond swiftly to equipment breakdowns to minimise operational disruption

Support machine installations, modifications, and system upgrades

Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations

Maintain comprehensive maintenance records and documentation

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to boost productivity and efficiency

Essential Requirements



Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, BTEC, or equivalent)

Knowledge of PLCs, conveyor systems, motors, pumps, and automated equipment

Demonstrable experience in a maintenance role within manufacturing or automotive sectors

Strong mechanical aptitude with fault-finding capabilities

Proactive approach with excellent teamworking skills

Flexible and diligent work ethic
