Job Description

Position: Mechanical Technician
Location: Nuneaton
Salary: Up to £37,000
Shift: Monday–Friday, 2pm–10pm
Benefits: 12% pension (6% employer matched), 4x death in service cover, 24 days holiday 1 day per year of service ( option to buy 5 more), career progression, development opportunities.

Mechanical Technician Overview:
Hands-on role operating and maintaining high-speed food manufacturing equipment (packaging lines, seasoning systems, conveyors, filling machines). Ensure smooth, efficient, and safe production with a strong focus on quality and performance.

Mechanical Technician Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor machinery to meet production targets and safety standards.

• Troubleshoot technical issues to reduce downtime.

\n

• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on equipment.

\n

• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Training teams.

\n

• Suggest and implement process improvements.

\n

• Use digital tools (e.g., Redzone) to track production and report issues.

\n

Mechanical Technician Experience & Skills:

\n
• Background in technical or mechanical engineering roles.

\n

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

\n

• Good attention to detail and adaptability.

\n

• Confident communicator with basic computer literacy.

\n
