Mechanical Supervisor \n\nLocation: Oxford, London & South\n Salary: Highly Competitive (dependant on experience)\n Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent\n\nWorking hours: 8–5, Monday to Friday.\nReporting to the Mechanical Project Manager / Operations Director.\n\n The Role \nResponsible for the day-to-day supervision of mechanical installations across multiple projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. Typically overseeing 1–2 projects at a time, working closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, and site teams on commercial mechanical projects up to the value of £2m (Mechanical) – Offices, Healthcare, Higher Education, Museums, etc.\n\nKey Responsibilities \n\nSupervising all site-based mechanical activities, including HVAC, public health, and pipework installations, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and current regulations\nEnsuring health, safety & welfare is maintained and adhered to at all times on site, including conducting toolbox talks, site inductions, and regular safety inspections\nCoordinating and managing subcontract labour, materials, and site logistics to support efficient delivery of projects\nAssisting the Project Manager in planning and delivering projects from pre-start through to completion and handover\nMonitoring site progress against programme and reporting updates, risks, and issues to the Project Manager\nEnsuring all mechanical installations meet required quality standards, including inspections, pressure testing, flushing, and snagging\nSupporting the commissioning process, ensuring systems are installed and ready for commissioning and handover\nMaintaining accurate site records, including daily reports, site diaries, RAMS, and quality documentation\nAttending site meetings with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors as required\nProviding technical guidance and support to mechanical trades, including pipefitters, plumbers, and HVAC engineers\nAssisting in identifying and reporting variations and site changes\nSupporting the preparation of operation & maintenance manuals and handover documentation\nWorking across multiple project sites with occasional visits to the Oxford office\n The Company \n\n100 years’ experience delivering MEP projects in London and surrounding areas\nOffices based in Oxford and Southampton\nApproximately 130 employees\n£25m annual turnover\nThis hire is due to continued company growth and increased project workload\n Requirements \n\n3–5+ years’ experience working as a Mechanical Supervisor or Senior Mechanical Tradesperson within commercial projects\nExperience delivering mechanical installations (HVAC, public health, pipework) on projects ideally up to £1m–£2m value\nGold CSCS Card\nSSSTS/SMSTS required\nStrong knowledge of mechanical systems and relevant regulations and standards\nAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications\nStrong leadership and organisational skills\nAbility to work under pressure and to tight deadlines\nExcellent communication and problem-solving skills\n What You’ll Get \n\nHighly competitive salary\nCompany vehicle with fuel card\nTools & Plant allowance\nCompany pension\n24 days holiday + bank holidays\nCareer progression opportunities for candidates who demonstrate capability and ambition#INDPERM
