Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor
Location: Horsham (with regular site visits across South/South East England)
Employment Type: Permanent
Salary Range: £40,000 – £55,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Role Purpose
The Mechanical Supervisor will oversee mechanical installation works on water and wastewater treatment sites, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage site teams effectively.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate mechanical installation activities on site.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Interpret technical drawings and specifications to guide site teams.
* Liaise with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues.
* Monitor progress, quality, and resource allocation to meet project deadlines.
* Conduct site inspections and prepare progress reports.
* Manage materials and equipment deliveries to site.
* Support commissioning and handover processes.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor in water/wastewater treatment projects.
* Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and pipework installations.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations (CSCS card essential; SSSTS/SMSTS ).
* Full UK Driving Licence.
