Mechanical Supervisor\n\nLocation:Healthcare Division\nSalary: Up to £55,000 DOE\nHours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm\n\nAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join a leading facilities management provider. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically minded engineer with supervisory experience who is looking to take the next step in their career within a critical healthcare environment.\n\nWorking closely with the Mechanical Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers, ensuring the smooth delivery of planned and reactive maintenance activities across the site while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance and operational excellence.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Lead, support and coordinate a team of engineers across the healthcare site.\n\n * Act as deputy to the Mechanical Manager, providing cover and support when required.\n\n * Oversee the completion of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules in line with contractual requirements.\n\n * Ensure reactive maintenance issues are responded to and resolved efficiently to minimise disruption to critical services.\n\n * Carry out routine inspections and spot checks within plant rooms and other mechanical service areas.\n\n * Monitor the quality of maintenance activities and ensure all work is completed to a high standard.\n\n * Allocate daily workloads and provide technical guidance and support to engineering staff.\n\n * Ensure compliance with all health and safety legislation, company policies and site procedures.\n\n * Review and maintain risk assessments and method statements, ensuring safe systems of work are always followed.\n\n * Liaise with management, subcontractors and client representatives regarding ongoing maintenance activities and site issues.\n\n * Identify opportunities for service improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives.\n\n * Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.\n\n * Ensure all statutory compliance requirements are met across the contract.\n\n * Support the development and mentoring of engineers within the team.\n\nRequirements\n\n * Previous experience in a supervisory, lead engineer or team leader position within a building services or facilities management environment.\n\n * Strong technical understanding of mechanical building services systems.\n\n * Relevant engineering qualifications are desirable; however, candidates with either mechanical, plumbing or electrical qualifications will be considered.\n\n * Excellent communication and leadership skills.\n\n * Ability to prioritise workloads and manage a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.\n\n * Strong understanding of health and safety procedures and compliance requirements.\n\n * Experience working within critical environments or healthcare settings would be advantageous.\n\nBenefits\n\n * Salary up to £55,000 depending on experience.\n\n * Monday to Friday working pattern with a great work-life balance.\n\n * Competitive holiday allowance.\n\n * Company pension scheme.\n\n * Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.\n\n * Career progression within a well-established and industry-leading organisation.\n\n * Access to employee benefits and wellbeing programmes.\n\n * Stable, long-term contract within a secure environment.\n\nIf you're a motivated engineer with strong leadership skills looking for your next challenge, we'd love to hear from you
