Job Title\n\nDornan Engineering Group is a leading international engineering contractor delivering high-value projects across Europe, UK & Ireland. Based in London, this is an exciting opportunity to join our growing site team as a Mechanical Supervisor to deliver infrastructure upgrades on a datacentre project in east London. You will play a key role on a high-profile site, supervising construction packages and deliver in a live environment, so experience working on a similar project such as an airport or a hospital setting etc is beneficial.\n\nYour day will include:\n\nSupervise and coordinate mechanical installation works, including HVAC, chilled water, pipework, plant rooms, and equipment installation, ensuring work is delivered safely and on programme.\n\nManage mechanical operatives and subcontractors on site, planning daily activities, allocating labour, and monitoring productivity against the construction schedule.\n\nEnsure compliance with health & safety requirements, RAMS, and permit systems, particularly within a live or mission‑critical data centre environment.\n\nWork closely with project managers, engineers, and other trade supervisors to coordinate interfaces, resolve technical issues, and support testing and commissioning activities.\n\nCarry out quality inspections, manage snags, and ensure all mechanical installations meet drawings, specifications, and datacentre standards prior to handover.\n\nAbout You\n\nPrevious experience supervising mechanical installations on large‑scale projects, ideally data centres, pharma, or other mission‑critical environments.\n\nStrong technical knowledge of mechanical building services, including HVAC, pipework systems, plant rooms, and commissioning processes.\n\nProven leadership skills with the ability to manage direct labour and subcontractors, drive productivity, and maintain high standards on site.\n\nExcellent understanding of health & safety requirements, RAMS, and safe systems of work in complex, high‑risk environments.\n\nAn organised, proactive approach with strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with project teams and other trades.\n\nFor a confidential discussion or to learn more about the role, please email (url removed) or call me at +(phone number removed).\n\n#LI-SH1\n\nWomen @ Dornan: Our (email address removed) Network through mentorship, development, and advocacy empowers women and promotes a more forward thinking construction industry.\n\nDornan Strava Club: employees can take part in fitness challenges, build connections across the business, and contribute to monthly charitable giving initiatives.\n\nBe Yourself: We want everyone at Dornan to feel welcome, valued, and supported.
