About the Client\n\nMy client is a long‑established, multidisciplinary building services engineering and construction business. The company delivers high‑quality engineering solutions across the full lifecycle of complex built environments — from early design and systems integration through to installation, commissioning, and final handover.\n\nThey operate across a range of technically demanding sectors including life sciences, commercial, education, and healthcare, delivering projects to consistently high standards.\n\nThe Opportunity\n\nMy client is currently seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to join their delivery team. This is a site‑based role responsible for the daily supervision and coordination of mechanical works, ensuring delivery is safe, on programme, and meets the required quality and compliance standards.\n\nThe role is heavily focused on workface delivery, effective coordination of labour and subcontractors, and supporting the wider project team to ensure successful project execution.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSupervise and coordinate daily mechanical site activities, allocating labour and resources in line with the project programme\nMonitor site progress, identifying delays, risks, or issues and reporting these to the Project Manager as required\nLiaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and the internal procurement team to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials and equipment\nPromote and maintain high standards of health, safety, and quality across site operations in line with company systems and site requirements\nProvide accurate progress updates to the project team and contribute to progress and cost review meetings\nAssist with subcontractor cost control, including valuations and authorisation of payments in line with agreed processes\n\nCandidate Profile\n\nEssential:\n\nProven experience supervising mechanical works on construction or building services projects\nStrong technical knowledge of mechanical installations and site coordination\nAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and schedules\nStrong organisational and communication skills\nA demonstrable commitment to health, safety, and quality standards\nDesirable:\n\nTime‑served mechanical trade background\nExperience working within regulated or technically complex sectors such as healthcare, education, life sciences, or commercial environments\nSSSTS, SMSTS, or equivalent site safety qualification\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\nCompetitive annual leave allowance\nPrivate medical cover\nPerformance‑related bonus\nWellbeing and employee support initiatives\nPension scheme\nFlexible or hybrid working (role dependent)\nAdditional company benefits
