Mechanical Supervisor \n\nLocation: London, UK\n\n Role Overview \nThe Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of mechanical systems across construction and maintenance projects.The role ensures all mechanical works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and in compliance with UK regulations and project specifications.\n\n Key Responsibilities \n\nSupervise on-site mechanical installation works including HVAC, pipework, ductwork, and plant systems\nCoordinate daily activities of engineers, technicians, subcontractors, and labour\nEnsure works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, programme schedules, and quality standards\nMonitor progress against programme, identify delays, and implement mitigation measures\nPrepare progress reports and provide updates in project meetings\nManage materials, plant, equipment, deliveries, and on-site storage\nOversee labour allocation and subcontractor performance\nCoordinate mechanical works with electrical, civil, structural, and commissioning teams\nSupport testing, commissioning, and handover documentation\nEnsure compliance with UK health and safety legislation and site standards\nConduct toolbox talks, site inspections, and enforce safe working practices including PPE\n\n Requirements \n\nMinimum 5+ years’ experience in mechanical installation or building services\nProven experience supervising mechanical teams on construction projects\nExperience working on large commercial developments within the UK\nNVQ Level 3 or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering\nValid CSCS Card (Supervisor level)\nSMSTS \nStrong knowledge of UK building regulations and mechanical installation standards\nCompetent with Microsoft Excel and Outlook\n\n Desirable \n\nExperience working in live environments (e.g. hospitals, healthcare, operational sites)\nStrong communication skills, both written and verbal\nAbility to manage multiple workstreams and prioritise effectively\n\n Salary & Benefits \n\nSalary dependent on experience\nOvertime paid where applicable\nEmployee-Owned Trust (EOT) scheme after 12 months’ service\nPrivate healthcare\nPrivate dental insurance\nLife insurance\nPension scheme\nLength of service reward scheme\nTradepoint discount scheme\nAccess to private financial advice\n\n#INDPERM
