Pipe Fitter / Mechanical Site Engineer
Orpington, Kent (Field-based) | Full-time, Permanent | £40k Per Year

Our Client is a trusted name in the design, manufacture, installation, and service of pumping equipment across the UK. We're looking for a motivated and hands-on Mechanical Site Engineer / Pipe Fitter to join our growing team — helping to deliver high-quality installations and service support nationwide.
About the Role
As part of our Pumping Stations Department, you'll work alongside our electrical site engineers to install, commission, service, and repair a wide range of pumping equipment and associated systems.
Your work will take you across the UK, providing essential on-site support to ensure systems are installed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
Install, commission, service, and repair pumps and pumping systems
Attend site installations and breakdowns nationwide as required
Maintain tools, van stock, and company equipment in good condition
Complete detailed site reports and submit promptly after each visit
Promote company products and services professionally at all times
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and company policies
Assist with improving company procedures and standards About You
We're looking for a reliable, skilled, and adaptable engineer who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys solving mechanical challenges.
You'll bring:
Experience in a similar mechanical, maintenance, or site-based role (preferably with pumps or fluid-handling systems)
A recognised mechanical qualification (e.g. NVQ, ONC, HNC)
Good working knowledge of pumping systems, pipework, and mechanical fittings
A flexible approach to travel and working hours
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Full UK Driving License Desirable (training can be provided):
CSCS Card
Confined Space, First Aid, or SSSTS certification Why Join Them?
