Shift EngineerWe are seeking a highly skilled, multi-disciplinary Shift Engineer with expertise in a variety of trades, including Mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and general building maintenance. This position requires a flexible, proactive individual who will be part of a team responsible for the maintenance and repair of the site.The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving abilities, good communication skills, and a keen eye for detail.

A company van will be provided to support travel between locations.Working Hours: 12 Hour Shift Continental Shift PatternOperationallyComply with all requirements of the Client contract and meet or exceed Key Performance IndicatorsOperate all systems within the buildings in a competent, effective, and efficient manner (including HV operations where required).Ensure regular plant inspections, works inspections and audits are carried out to drive operational excellence across the site.Monitor and operate building automation systems (BAS) including HVAC, lighting, security, fire alarm, and energy management systemsRespond to system alerts and alarms, diagnosing and resolving issues or escalating as neededPerform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on smart building technologies and equipmentTroubleshoot IoT devices, sensors, controllers, and network connectivity issuesExecute programming changes to building systems as directed by engineering teamMonitor energy usage patterns and implement efficiency measures according to established protocolsDocument all maintenance activities, system adjustments, and technical issues in digital management systemsCoordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and repairsRespond to occupant comfort requests and technical support needs during shiftMaintain comprehensive knowledge of building systems integration and dependenciesDesired or experience and technical skills:HV/LV authorised person AP15 - Refresher training can be providedCurrent Edition IEE: Wiring and Installation Regulations or equivalent Mechanical engineering qualificationHNC & HND in an engineering disciplineConfined Authorised person - Refresher training can be providedMechanical Pressure authorised person - Refresher training can be providedExperience with building automation systems and integrated smart building technologiesBasic programming and configuration skills for smart building systemsStrong troubleshooting abilities and analytical thinkingProficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)Required Skills and Experience:City & Guilds Level 3 NQV in electrical/mechanical disciplineHas worked within a Critical Engineering FacilityStrong PC literacy and able to manage daily activities using various systems, such as BMS, and other computerized control/monitoring systemTPBN1_UKTJ
