Mechanical Shift Engineer – Battersea\n\n£43,500–£48,500 + OT | Continental Shifts | Prestigious Mixed-Use Development\n\nA leading FM provider is seeking an experienced Mechanical Shift Engineer to join their engineering team on a landmark site in Battersea. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a modern, high-spec environment with state-of-the-art plant and strong career progression.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs a Mechanical Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering PPM, reactive maintenance, and fault-finding on a wide range of mechanical and building services equipment. You will work as part of a skilled shift team ensuring all critical and non-critical systems operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with industry standards.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nCarry out PPM and reactive maintenance on mechanical plant\n\nMaintain and troubleshoot AHUs, FCUs, boilers, pumps, chillers, cooling towers & HVAC systems\n\n Support mechanical and electrical teams during complex engineering works\n\nMonitor and operate BMS systems, ensuring plant efficiency\n\nComplete shift logs, job sheets, permits, and compliance documentation\n\nRespond to fault calls promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to site operations\n\nUphold health & safety policies, safe systems of work, and LOTO procedures\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\nLevel 3 Mechanical Qualification (or equivalent)\n\nStrong experience within commercial building services or critical environments\n\nSolid technical knowledge of mechanical systems and building plant\n\nAbility to work effectively within a shift team\n\nGood communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills\n\nF-Gas or boilers qualification (advantage, not essential)\n\nBenefits\n\nCompetitive salary + shift allowance\n\nRegular training & professional development\n\nOvertime available\n\nModern site with high-quality plant and facilities\n\nLong-term, stable engineering role with progression opportunities
