My client is one of the leaders in the manufacture and export of Polyurethane Foam Making Equipment.\nKey aspects of the service engineer role include:\n * Essential - strong mechanical experience & qualified. To have a Minimum of a NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Engineering (HNC is desirable but not essential).\n * Essential - knowledge of PLC networks, with familiarity checking networks, profibus/ethernet/ether cat.\n * Knowledge of instrumentation - mainly mass flowmeters, pressure switches/transducers, temperature probes and valves.\n * You would not be required to do this on site, but you must advise the customer and supervise their electricians of how and where the best location during the installations.\nDetails of role for site work\nThe role is suited to a candidate that is willing to travel Worldwide - 90% of the clients business is overseas installing and commissioning polyurethane foam production equipment.\nInitially, the role would be officed based and travelling with another engineer for training. Once training is complete, the candidate would be expected to travel alone or with a team on larger projects.\nIn between overseas work they would be office based to assist on the testing and preparation for new equipment being exported.\nExperience needed\n * Sound mechanical and pneumatic appreciation is required for this role – much of our equipment is based on pumps & conveyors – an understanding of this equipment or a willingness to learn is expected.\n * Experience of working on bespoke machinery as a service engineer would be very advantageous in this role, as would experience working in the chemical industry.\nBenefits\nPension – 5% Employee contribution & 3% Employer contribution on qualifying earnings\n25 days holiday per annum (-3 days for Christmas shut down)\nCompany laptop and mobile phone.\nDaily payment for overseas site working only of £50.00 per day.\nDay in lieu of each weekend worked.\nCash advance and company credit card to cover all expenses
